The Key to a Trouble Free System
Annual preventative maintenance is the key to trouble-free system that runs at peak performance all year long. It seems that A LOT of the service calls we run during the summer months could have been prevented with a little maintenance.
Here are some examples of what we’ve seen so far:
A furnace with water under it caused by a clogged up drain line. Condensatation collects in the drain pan below your evaporator coil and can pick up dirt and slime that can build up over time. We inspect and flush the drain pan and lines with hot water and bleach and make sure everything is clear.
An outdoor fan and/or compressor not running because of a weak dual capacitor. Our technicians carry specialty multi-meters to test the capacitors strength and if they find them low can replace them at maintenance before they go out completely. Being a Comfort Club member (someone on our annual maintenance plan) would also get you discounts on any parts or repairs that needed to be done.
An air conditioner that is running but only blowing warm air because of a dirty filter. Dirty air filters restrict the flow of cold to the system and then freeze up the coils. Changing your filter regularly, helps keep the entire system clean and running as efficiently as possible for as long as possible. We check and, if necessary, change the air filter on every maintenance visit. Our technicians carry a variety of filters in their vans so, chances are they’ll have what you need!
