Employee Spotlight: Jim
One unique feature of Chapman is our shop where custom ductwork is built in-house by our very own Jim Fisk. Jim has been with Chapman for over 30 years and is an invaluable asset to the team. Not only is he a master of his craft, his personality is unmatched. “Oh, Jim…” is regularly uttered around the office, as we all are accustomed to his jokes! Don’t let his experience fool you, he is also known for staying up to date on the latest food vegetarian trends. When he is not at Chapman, Jim is an extreme family man. He enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
As Shop Foreman, Jim not only builds and designs the custom ductwork and ventilation, but is in charge of our inventory, all deliveries, and being the bridge between the installation department and the office. Jim is often called upon to deliver parts or run errands. The many hats that Jim wears never effect his ability to get the job done right!
The ability to make ductwork at Chapman is a benefit to you, because we do not have to order it. When we are putting together an estimate for a new system we do not have to build in the additional fees it would cost for a more expensive and more time consuming process. This is also a benefit because we can help you out with all our zoning issues. Hot spots and cold spots in your home can sometimes be solved with what we call “runs” of duct. Having the ability to have Jim make that ductwork here at Chapman, means your job is done quicker!
