How our communication works!
There are many ways that we communicate with each other around the office and when the technicians are out on the job. We are focused on communication because the better we communicate with each other, the more efficiently and accurately we can help you. Our communication has changed a lot over the years, from a paper scheduling system to an up-to-the-minute update, all online, messaging system that links everyone’s phones to our scheduling system.
Smart phones are an obvious way the we communicate with one another. This is not just something we use to talk and text. Often times we can also look up the availability of replacement parts or connect to customer service via industry apps. Chapman also has an advanced scheduling system that allows us to store all of the previous home history as well as account information. This is a benefit to you, because we can tell you what has happened with your system as long as we’ve been going there. There is a feature of this system that allows us to send address and system information to any technician’s smart phone. This ensures that there is never a miscommunication and we’re always sending exact information.
Each week, each department gets together to talk about department specific information. This is a great way for them to troubleshoot some new technology, give insight about challenges they’ve run into over the week, and support each other. Chapman’s technicians have a combined 122 years of experience! It’s great that they can get together often and share that breadth of knowledge with each other. We also meet as an entire company monthly. These monthly meetings cover financial information, general company information like new team members and birthdays, as well as marketing information. This is a unique opportunity to get everyone on the same page about sales and promotions, or changes that affect us all.
At Chapman, our department coordinators see each of their technicians daily. Touching base each morning before the work day begins is one of the greatest forms of communication we have. It is also what helps make Chapman such a family environment. We always looking for ways to improve our communication with each other because we know that this is always going to end up being a benefit to you!
