Chapman 2nd Annual Fishing Tournament
Last week Chapman had our 2nd Annual Fishing Tournament at Little Dixie Lake in Millersburg. Events like this really show how we live out our core value of fun! Bringing the team together with their partners and children is a great way for everyone to get to know each other outside of the office. We do events like this throughout the year and it’s amazing to see all of our Chapman families grow. This summer we have been blessed with four beautiful babies (two of them were able to come fishing!) and for many of us it was the first time meeting them.

We started out the afternoon with a BBQ meal that was chalk full of all the fixings! Pork, brisket, beans, cole slaw, and potatoes – what else do you need? We were even celebrating a birthday that day so we finished out meal with cake and a song for Eli.

Fishing teams of two set out in the water or on land for two hours in an attempt to win some prizes! Teams came in all forms of parent/child, spouses, co-workers, even a few friends. Each team had two hours to fish and as you might have heard, we take our time frames pretty seriously (See: Chapman Family Guarantee). Luckily, everyone made it back to shore on time and was prepared for the judging.
Winners took home prizes for Biggest Fish, Smallest Fish, and Most Fish Caught. The competition was tough this year! The winner of the biggest fish was only three-quarters of an inch bigger than the next biggest fish and the team that one most fish caught only caught one more than the runner up.
At the end of the day we all got to enjoy a nice afternoon on the water and have a great time fishing together! Check out some pictures of our fishing adventure below!
