Motivational Training at Chapman
Every year at Chapman, we bring in an outside trainer that is not always industry specific. The importance of bringing in people like Rick Hutcherson, or this year’s visitor, Krish Dhanum, is that we are continuing our education. The education related to motivational and inspirational speakers may not directly relate to heating and air conditioning, but it does relate to the well-being of our team. One important thing we learned from Krish is that focusing on building a better team will lead to building a better company. Showing up in our own personal lives is the first step to better serving our customers.
Krish Dhanam offered Chapman a lot of information about goal setting and self-motivation. Our lives are driven by beliefs about ourselves and our capabilities. These beliefs become a driving force for how we set out to accomplish tasks that are small or large. There are a lot of things we tell ourselves that are generally false and cap our own potential. When one has a firm grasp on positivity and a higher focus on accomplishments, they are more focused and driven. Singular goals are attainable, and with the skills Krish provided last week, we are empowered to continue raising the bar.
There is also a piece of this that touches on our interactions with others. This is something that directly relates to our teamwork and our integrity. These two core values that Chapman continuously strives for and consitiantly sets goals toward, have internal and external impacts. Our teamwork with each other is positively affected by each team member’s self-confidence. Our integrity with our customers is positively affected by constant goals to raise the bar and build the character of each team member.
Continuing education, both industry and motivational related, is part of the culture here at Chapman. We are constantly pushing ourselves and those around us to grow so we can continually serve you better.
