Christmas Giving

If you have followed us for awhile then you know one of our favorite things to do is give back. This past year we have done a lot of giving. Another one of our favorite things is to have fun. We have a lot of fun around here!
Every year we adopt a family (or three!) from a local charity. This year we chose our local Salvation Army. Then, at our company Christmas Party we play bingo. We give all the employees a bingo card to win fantastic prizes such as a 65” HDTV or a laptop computer. We give the employees the option to buy more bingo cards at $5/each, with the proceeds going to benefit our adopted families. We play several rounds of bingo for all the fun prizes. This year we raised $900 from the employees and then Chapman matched that amount, for a total of $1800 this year!
One day, the week following our party, the owners staffed the office and sent all the office team out on an $1800 shopping spree with the families’ wish lists. They had over five shopping carts full at Walmart and easily filled up a big white Chapman van!
It is always one of my favorite memories throughout the year. Seeing them back that white van up to the door and unload all the packages. Then, after sorting and organizing the gifts, being able to load them up and head over to the charity knowing a family in need is about to get a wonderful Christmas.
