Time Change Checklist

Service, Maintenance, Energy Savings, Heat Pumps, Heat, Geothermal,

This weekend we will set our clocks back one hour to end Daylight Savings Time.  The time change is a great reminder for us to make sure we have done a few things to keep our homes safe and comfortable for the upcoming winter months.  A few things we recommend:

  • Obviously, set all your clocks back one hour
  • Change the batteries in your smoke detector
  • Change the batteries in your carbon monoxide detector
  • Change the batteries in your thermostat
  • Schedule your next Comfort Club Clean and Check

These few minor things can help keep your home comfortable as the unpredictable mid-Missouri weather is approaching.  We want you and your home to be prepared for any type of weather.

Chapman Comfort Club Clean & Check

The Comfort Club Clean and Check can help you avoid a future heating service call during the cold winter months. A few things our maintenance visit will include:

  • Check the filter
  • Check all the wiring
  • Check the humidifier and pad
  • Check for gas leaks on gas furnaces
  • Clean and ensure your unit is running properly

A system that is maintained annually will experience fewer breakdowns and operate at peak efficiency. In addition to the maintenance to your system, the Comfort Club membership has additional benefits. You can read more about them here.

Drafty Rooms? High Utility Bills?

Another step you can take to make sure your home is ready for the colder winter months is to utilize our Home Performance Program with Energy Star.  This program can help you find the areas in your home that need to improve it’s efficiencies.  You can find more information on our Energy Savings page.

Furnace Not Keeping Up?

Or if last year your furnace was struggling to keep your home comfortable, you can schedule a free estimate with one of our Comfort Advisors.  They can help you choose the right system for your home.  They also stay up to date on current rebates and incentives available to save you money.
