Nerf Battle 2017
Thursday morning we had our annual company-wide business breakfast meeting. This is an important and necessary part of the Chapman tradition of transparency. We spend a few hours focusing on the plan for this coming year: discussing goals, laying out foreseen changes, and going over how the previous year went. We always like to make this a special occasion, and this year was definitely a celebration!
Part of our annual business meeting is to go over our company mission statement and core values. This is a good time to remind everyone why we do what we do, and make sure everyone is on-board with our company culture. This year we decided to take one of those core values on step further, and that was our value of FUN! We are focused on having fun to promote our family atmosphere and also as a reward for all the hard work we do.
To get a little extra fun into our day, the owners of Chapman surprised everyone by taking us all to Tiger Academy of Gymnastics and having a NERF BATTLE. This was a great time for everyone! The teams were divided beforehand and each team captain led their group to wins, ties, losses, and a whole lot of fun!
The best part of the entire experience was getting to see a different side of our coworkers. We do a lot of fun outings as a Chapman group, and this was the most active adventure we’ve been on. People were jumping to incredible heights, barrel rolling, and swimming their way through the foam pit! We had so much fun and are all eager to get back out on the battle field with our brand new Nerf guns.
