No Cool May Be No Problem!

Service,

Many of us are turning to our ACs for the first time this year. A few warm day in a row definitely require a change in our indoor comfort! If you’ve turned your air conditioner on this season, and it does not seem to be cooling, here are a few things you can check before calling out the experts.

Furnace filters are often forgotten about, especially when we’re using the AC. Although the outside unit is more utilized this season, the indoor unit definitely needs to be maintained for efficient cooling. Checking and changing the furnace filter regularly can keep your system rocking through the warm weather. Often times a clogged filter starts out as the system running just a few degrees above the set temperature. If left untreated, the filter becomes impacted and can cause the whole system to freeze up and stop cooling completely. This is something we always recommend checking first if your AC does not seem to be keeping up.

The second recommendation we make is checking or changing thermostat batteries. Not all thermostats have batteries, but if they do this is another simple fix. The batteries in the thermostat help it communicate with the entire system and call for air whenever temperatures start to rise. We recommended checking the batteries while you do the rest of your indoor battery maintenance: during daylight savings!

Of course it’s always better to prevent a problem than to fix it. We recommend bi-annual maintenance for your heating and air conditioning system by way of our Comfort Club plan. Now with two easy payment options (but only one EZPAY option!) it’s perfect for budgeting your systems well-being.

If you’ve checked and changed your filters and batteries and things still don’t seem to be functioning, it sounds like it’s time to call in one of the Chap-Men! Our expertly trained technicians are ready and willing to get you back to your indoor comfort zone! Contact us today to schedule your appointment.
