Last Thursday we held our 4th Annual Fishing Tournament at Little Dixie Lake in Millersburg. Events like this help us live one of our core values: FUN! We always invite all employees along with their families.

The night started off with everyone chowing down on some delicious barbeque with every side you could ever need. After dinner one of the owners Nathan, laid down the rules for this year’s tournament. Each fisher had 1.5 hours to fish at any location on Dixie Lake, and you MUST must be back in time for judging or risk being disqualified! Luckily, we all take our time frames pretty seriously around here.

Every year we hand out awards in three categories – smallest fish, largest fish, and the boat with the most fish. Here’s the results for this year:

Tony Hall caught the largest fish.

Julia caught the smallest fish, and it was her first fish EVER!

Tres’ boat caught the most fish.

We love to have fun here at Chapman, and friendly competition makes everything more exciting. A couple technicians even tried to be sneaky and fish the night before to find the best places to cast their lines!

While the fish may not have been biting much, it was still a blast spending time on the water and enjoying some of the best barbeque in Mid-Missouri. Check out some photos from the event below!
